Summer Camp 2025

Welcome to the 2025 ultra running summer courses in Norway!!! There will be two courses and there is something for everyone! The beginner course (12-16 june) has a range of participants from someone who never ran before, to experienced runners who wants to try to push the distance and run their first ultra. The advanced course (19-23 june) is for runners who already ran an ultra before and knows that  they can run an ultra. However, the pace will be rather slow and as long as you ran at least one ultra before, you can sign up for the advanced course! The tempo will be rather slow on the runs and the focus will be on the adventure rather than the pace. You can find more info about the different courses down below.

max. 10 runners per course

Mount To Coast Norway

Be one of the first to wear these shoes in Europe! Mount To Coast makes it possible for me to give all participants some incredible shoes. These are my personal favourite and it is also a shoe specifically made for ultra running!

Included in camp: One pair of the R1 Shoes in your size.

Tailwind Nutrition Norge

Tailwind is my favourite sports nutrition fuel and they want you to try their rocket fuel of a drink! Did you know that we runners should fuel all runs over 70 minutes? Tailwind is here to help with just that! All participants get a medium pack tailwind, enough for 10 liters of drink! Everyone also get two of their superiour soft bottles.

Included in camp: Medium pack tailwind (810g powder/enough for 10 liters) + 2x soft bottles

* Breakfast and dinner

* Light lunch. Some days are long running days and usually, the main fuel will be sports drink and snaks to keep the stomachs on track. There will be the oportunity to make a lunch box at the breakfast. Also... this way of eating lunch is a fun way to try the norwegian culture...we do this every day:)

BEGINNER COURSE (12-16 JUNE)

The beginner course is suitable for total beginners in running, but also for experienced runners who wants to run their first ultra. We will run in different groups and everyone are welcome! In this course, you will learn about mental and physical strategies to be able to run an ultra. There will be trainings where you can adapt the training after your level. We will run shorter loops to make sure we can cheer on eachother and to make sure everyone feels safe and seen. In the end of the course, you will have the oportunity to run your first ultramarathon! I will do my best to help you through the challenges and we will set up a strategy together of how to make it happen!

Three highlights of the beginner course:

* threshold run: in this run we learn about running on a threshold limit and what can happen if we go over the limit. This training demonstrates how important it actually is

* Walk of pain: this is a really slow walk to really feel and to become aware of mindfullness. This is something that is really important in running and you will learn why.

* Ultra: this is where the participants have the oportunity to run their first ultra! We will run in smaller loops and you can choose to run 5-45km! 45km might seem tough, but after the course, you will have more tools to actually make it! You can also choose to walk major parts of the distance...it will still be an ultra! Almost all ultra runners walk at some point.

ADVANCED COURSE (19-23 JUNE)

The advanced course is for runners that are more experienced in untra running. I recomend that you have ran one ultra in recent time or that you feel sort of confident that you would mannage an ultra. We have lectures where I share my experiences and we will also have discussions to share our experiences. I will also include a lot of the mental aspect. I often ask myself why I train 90% physical training when ultra running actually is mostly about mental games. On this course, you will learn a lot about yourself. You will learn about different tecniques and mental strategies and a big focus with the course is to lead the brain into observing certain intuitive realizations. On top of that, I can promise a camp of adventures and a lot of fun! If you are in a stage of training where it does not fit to run an ultra, but you are still experienced enough and want to participate in the advanced lectures, that is compleatly okay and there is a plan if anybody wants to run shorter distances than the original plan.

Three highlights of the advanced course:

*Strength: learn what is important to get the strength to be as effective and easy as possible. We want to spend time running. What do we actually need strangth wise?

*4h walk of pain: this is where we learn how to push through boredom. What strategies do we use to make the time flow and pass smoothly? This is something that we want to use later in ultra running, but how? You will learn this here!

*Running adventures: There will be a posibility to do two ultras during the course. It is not a must to do both and both of them are easy to cut off. The ultra adventure run, which takes place on the sunday, is going to be an A to B sort of run. We run 15km to the train station, then take the train for 45 minutes and then we run 45km back home. This is something we do for the adventure but it is also something we do to realize that ultra running is an adventure. We will run slow so that everyone mannage to follow. We will walk parts if anybody wants to. There is also the option to run the first 15km and turn around or get picked up.

MINI DOCUMENTARIES AND FILMING

There will be a cameraman following the weeks. There will be a sort of documentary posted on YouTube afterwards. You need to be okay with being showed on my social media but you can choose to stay out of picture and you don't have to engage with the camera. We would like to follow some participants through the course (possibly filmed in sync and so on) so if you would like to be one of the participants followed, that would be cool!

LOCATION

The location of the course is at a place which I keep close to heart. The place we stay is at my father's hotel in my hometown - Åmli. We will run at the paths where I have ran countless of times and I am so excited to show you my normal runs!

IMPORTANT!!

Everything is at your own risk! We will make sure that you have everything you need for a good training camp/course experience, but if you know that you have a health condition or an injury, please take that in consideration when choosing the level of the course!
